Inorganic colloids for electrochemical energy storage
The focus of our research is, in a broad sense, the hierarchical structuring of solid matter through programmed self-organization. This structuring spans multiple length scales, from the nanometer scale to the micrometer scale. To the extent that it becomes possible to complement the diversity of chemical compounds with the complex structuring known from biological systems, new materials with previously unknown functions will become accessible.
