Research

The Chair of Macromolecular Chemistry I focuses on the synthesis of novel reactive monomers, functional block copolymers and metallopolymers, as well as the supramolecular structuring of hierarchically organized materials. The research activities encompass both fundamental studies aimed at achieving a better understanding of structure formation on the nanoscale and a wide range of application oriented projects. These range from the development of selective drug delivery systems for medical applications to conjugated, redox active, and metal based polymers for optoelectronic applications.
